Do you suffer from Broadband over power line QRM all over HF here in the UK?  A Sound Sample is here (This is a "Comtrend" as used by BT-Vision, and others.)  Well, don't any more...
Solve your Power Line Networking QRM at www.ukqrm.org
Help is at hand!

For those in Europe interested in VHF DX.  The future of the UK VHF beacon GB3VHF is still a little uncertain!

Go to www.gb3vhf.co.uk for details.  This linked page has not changed for some time, but I'll keep the link here for the time being.

Just so it is said.  This site uses JavaScript.  Any script blockers will prevent the reception report data from showing, so if you have something such as NoScript installed in FireFox, you will need to tell it to "Trust" this site.  Oh yes, and you must have the correct date and time set on your PC, or you may get the wrong status chart, or no chart at all!

2009 November 2nd (21:00z)
The access to the needed NTP services by/via my ISP is still very slow and erratic again.
Performing a traceroute, they seem to now be running NTP on the same machines as some
of their routing services.  Oh dear, not good.

IARU/NCDXF HF Beacon Reception at G0WBX

Location:    Maids Moreton, North Bucks, England (UK). IO92ma
Latitude:      52 00' N,
Longitude:   000 58' W.

The radio is an ICOM IC-R70, the antenna is an 'OGN vertical, (Built by Dennis G7OGN) fed via a bypassed ATU at the far end (via a Yaesu FC1000, with ground wires.)  The Icom IC-R70 seems reliable and sensitive (dispite my odd mistake with another radio, that shares the antenna via a passive splitter.) So it is now the main beacon RX.  If anyone wants the details as to how I interfaced it to Faros for remote control, please drop me a line at the contact email address shown later.

This is a "demonstration page". If you would like to create a web page to monitor beacon reception from your location, it is not difficult.
Just follow these simple instructions.  If I can do it, so can you.

Other Beacon Monitoring web pages are linked from the International Beacon Project Monitors site.

Sometimes, this site/page will be unavailable.  For that I apologise, but at times I need the radio or computers for other things, or to do routine maintenance, like system updates, on or just after the second (patch) Tuesday of any month.  Also, there is the odd failure, and finger trouble of course...

If you think there is something wrong with this site/page, please tell me what and why, and how I might improve/fix it.   Thanks.

Feel free to contact myself at  if any questions.  I check that account two or more times a week, so any reply may not be instant. Please put "FarosWeb" in the subject, so the filters can work to keep you out of the Spam bucket.  Just so you know.
(Still Todo! I must figure out how to line up the text in that  mail address image, to the page text.)
